Such a chaotic week!

Hello everybody! How are you doing?

We are so busy, the week before Salone Mobile in Milan is always chaotic for all preparations, there are always lots of “last” things to do, such as organizing materials to bring to the fair, preparing press releases and materials for journalists or chasing craftsmen who have patiently realised our prototypes, hardly ever ready in advance.

I’m glad to know we are not the only ones to be always late! A recent tweet by Karim Rashid said: “Milano saloni is so soon. Funny I have some clients just starting prototypes. I guess that is the Italian way – relaxed”.

“Relaxed” it’s the last way I could define it, considering our high stress level! We replied we would be at Salone too and we were just starting to realise new prototypes. He wished us good luck (the power of network). At fair – and not only there – it’s always so useful!

Noi incasinatissime, la settimana che precede il Salone del Mobile di Milano è sempre caotica a causa dei preparativi, ci sono sempre tantissime “ultime” cose da fare, come organizzare il materiale da portare in fiera, preparare i comunicati stampa e il materiale per i giornalisti o inseguire gli artigiani che pazientemente hanno realizzato i nostri prototipi e che quasi mai sono pronti in anticipo. 

Mi consola sapere che non siamo le uniche a essere sempre in ritardo! Un recente tweet di Karim Rashid diceva: “Milano saloni is so soon. Funny I have some clients just starting prototypes. I guess that is the Italian way – relaxed”.

“Relaxed” è l’ultimo dei modi in cui lo definirei, visto il nostro tasso di stress! Gli abbiamo risposto che saremo anche noi al Salone e che in effetti stavamo appena cominciando a realizzare dei nuovi prototipi. Ci ha augurato buona fortuna (potere della rete). In fiera – e non solo- ne serve sempre!
