“Now! Le Off” 2013, Cité de la Mode et du Design – The best of Paris Design Week part 2

The weather is not the best for Paris Design Week, but never mind: I’ll take this opportunity and go to the City of Fashion and Design to visit the exhibition “Now! Le Off”, the showcase for young French and international designers in collaboration with the brand Rado.

Il tempo non è dei migliori per girare per la Design Week parigina, ma non importa: colgo l’occasione e vado alla Città della Moda e del Design a visitare l’esposizione “Now! Le Off”, la vetrina per i giovani designer francesi e internazionali realizzata in collaborazione con il brand Rado.

Many original and interesting proposals, such as the StockWerk folding bookcase ​​by the German Meike Harde.

Molte le proposte originali e interessanti, come la libreria pieghevole Stock.Werk realizzata dalla tedesca Meike Harde.

The Italian Giorgio Bonaguro presents the three wooden stools “Bishop, Pawn and Queen”, while the French Elsa Randé the cubes “Ecumes des jours”, handcrafted in solid wood and scoubidous strings, can be used both as tables and as small bookcases.

L’italiano Giorgio Bonaguro presenta i tre sgabelli in legno Alfiere, Pedone e Regina, mentre la francese Elsa Rande i cubi Ecumes des jours, realizzati artigianalmente in legno massello e fili di scoubidous, utilizzabili sia come tavolini che come piccole librerie.

The Vuoristo low table, which means mountain in Finnish, was designed by the French Fabien Barrero – Carsenat,  inspired by the rocky peaks that rise far above the clouds.

Il coffee-table Vuoristo, che in finlandese significa montagna, è stato progettato dal francese Fabien Barrero-Carsenat, che si è ispirato alle cime rocciose che si ergono fin sopra le nuvole.

The mirror by Huntig & Narud is part of Norway exhibition” On Time”, a reflection externalized in 17 prototypes on time, situations and objects.

Lo specchio presentato da Huntig & Narud fa parte dell’esposizione norvegese On Time, una riflessione estrinsecata in 17 prototipi sul tempo, le situazioni e gli oggetti.

The best thing of “Now! Le Off” is that there is an atmosphere similar to that of SaloneSatellite in Milan: a young ambience, new ideas and a lot of guys who come together and exchange opinions and suggestions on their projects: it’s not just a way to be known by the public, but also an opportunity for growth and enrichment.

Il bello del “Now! Le Off” è che c’è un’atmosfera molto simile a quella del SaloneSatellite di Milano: un ambiente giovane, idee nuove e tanti ragazzi che si confrontano e si scambiano pareri e suggerimenti sui propri progetti: non solo un modo per farsi conoscere dal pubblico, ma anche un’opportunità di crescita e di arricchimento.
