Key word: ENERGY. The one necessary when you need to create the right atmosphere , and liberate the imagination and stimulate change. Maison & Objet interprets the word “Energies” in a three-step path that presents the trend of this season.

Inside “Pyschotropia”, the set up by François Bernard for the energy of the imagination, I was particularly touched by the Flying Flames spectacular chandelier by Ingo Maurer, that someone will have already seen at this year’s Euroluce.
All’interno di “Pyschotropia”, l’allestimento di François Bernard per l’energia dell’immaginazione, mi ha colpito particolarmente lo scenografico lampadario Flying Flames di Ingo Maurer, che qualcuno avrà già visto all’edizione di quest’anno di Euroluce.
Candles? No, LEDs!

Also of interest are the sculptures of Myung Nam An, inspired by his South Korean culture , using universal symbols that tell stories and evoke different moods and emotions.
Interessanti anche le sculture di Myung Nam An, ispirati alla sua cultura Sud Coreana, che raccontano storie utilizzando simboli universali ed evocano differenti stati d’animo ed emozioni.
Humour, parody, and whim for the set up of “Funt@sy” by Vincent Grégoire, who despises the simplicity in favour of pop elements, unusual reinterpretations and irreverent allusions to neoclassical culture.
Umorismo, parodia e capriccio per l’allestimento “Funt@sy” di Vincent Grégoire, che disprezza la sobrietà in favore di elementi pop, di insolite reinterpretazioni e di irriverenti allusioni alla cultura neoclassica.
Impossible not to notice the Golden Cage suspended chair by Anouchka Potdevin for guests to cage, and The Frame Chair by Slokosky for those to be put in a frame!
Impossibile non notare la seduta sospesa Golden Cage di Anouchkca Potdevin per gli ospiti da mettere in gabbia, e The Frame Chair di Slokosky per quelli da mettere in cornice!
Also funny the Liquorice stool that makes me think so much to “La Rotella” design blog.
Divertente anche lo sgabello Liquorice che mi fa tanto pensare al blog sul design “La Rotella”.
Finally, “Illuminations”, signed by Elizabeth Leriche, stresses the need for light for an era steeped in darkness. Between light and shadow we find the Surface Tension Lamp by Front which combines LED technology with a far-fetched lampshade: a soap bubble that catches the light and reflects it into the room.
Infine “Illuminations”, firmato da Elizabeth Leriche, sottolinea il bisogno di luce per un’era immersa nell’oscurità. Tra luci e ombre troviamo la Surface Tension Lamp delle Front che combina la tecnologia LED ad un inverosimile paralume: una bolla di sapone che cattura la luce e la riflette all’interno dell’ambiente.
The breathtaking Ripple Lamp by Poetic Lab, which I remember as it got third at the SaloneSatellite Award: the glass slowly rotates and the light emitted by the LED creates romantic plays of light and shadow.
Molto suggestiva la Ripple Lamp di Poetic Lab, che tra l’altro ricordo perché arrivata terza al SaloneSatellite Award: il vetro ruota lentamente e la luce emessa dal LED crea romantici giochi di luce e ombre.
In the Air installation by the artist Etienne Rey the kaleidoscopic suspended panels are illuminated by a projector and move thanks to the displacement of air created by the passage of visitors. The result is amazing!
Nell’istallazione Air dell’artista Etienne Ray i caleidoscopici pannelli sospesi vengono illuminati da un proiettore e si muovono grazie allo spostamento d’aria creato dal passaggio dei visitatori. Il risultato è sorprendente!
