SaloneSatellite | First day

The fair opens its doors and in a short time thousands of people have been pouring in! Designers, journalists, architects, buyers and enthusiasts gather here every year from all over the world to discover novelties, the atmosphere is fantastic, there so much enthusiasm that has infected us too! There is no shortage of friends who always show their affection coming to help us. In addition to these new friends who share with us the experience of  SaloneSatellite exhibiting their prototypes in the booths next to mine, bringing their know-how and making the competition really inspiring.

As soon as we had a free moment we went to visit the Textile Workshop by Giuseppe Parolo, where we could admire his wonderful fabrics and the  loom to make them.

And after the fair running at Magis showroom for Piñata launch event. The display designed by Spanish designer and artist Jaime Hayon is characterized by joy, colour and fun, focusing on the Piña collection, which is enlarged this year – after the chair launched in 2011- by many new elements, such as the low chair, the rocking chair, the foot-stool and the low table.

La fiera ha aperto le sue porte e in poco tempo migliaia di persone si sono riversate dentro! Designer, giornalisti, architetti, buyers e appassionati si ritrovano qui ogni anno da tutto il mondo per scoprire ogni novità, l’ambiente è fantastico, c’è moltissimo entusiasmo e anche noi ne siamo state contagiate! Non mancano gli amici di sempre che ci dimostrano il loro affetto venendoci a dare una mano. A questi si aggiungono i nuovi amici che condividono con noi l’esperienza del SaloneSatellite esponendo i loro prototipi negli stand vicini, apportando il loro know-how e rendendo il confronto molto stimolante.

Appena abbiamo avuto un attimo libero siamo state a visitare la Bottega del Tessile di Giuseppe Parolo, dove abbiamo potuto ammirare i suoi bellissimi tessuti e il telaio usato per realizzarli.

E dopo la fiera di corsa allo showroom di Magis per l’evento organizzato di presentazione di Piñata. L’allestimento creato dal designer e artista Jaime Hayon è caratterizzato da gioia, colore e divertimento, centrato sulla collezione Piña, che quest’anno – dopo il lancio della sedia nel 2011 – è stata ampliata con vari nuovi elementi, come la sedia a dondolo, lo sgabello e il tavolino basso.
